Motorsport Cables, formed in 1983, and is dedicated to the manufacture and supply of motorsport wiring offering our customers the complete interconnect solution. Since 2000 we have become more involved in motorsport wiring market producing assemblies for F1 teams and NASCAR. The practices we use in aerospace and military are very similar to those used in motorsport.
Cable Assemblies
All our wiring looms are manufactured here in the UK for the motorsport wiring market. The production facilities that we have differ from our competitors in this market as we are involved in other market sectors. This investment in machinery would not be warranted if our work was purely motorsport. This improves our efficiency and competitiveness and in turn flexibility in our manufacturing and costings.
Steering Wheels
New for 2012 is the FISW steering wheel. This is a fully electronic wheel that has paddle shift capability plus a 3 window LED section which gives the driver information about RPM, gauges, alarms etc. It is a CAN based system but can also work on a RS232 system if required. It is compatible with all ECU’s including MoTec, EFI, Cosworth, Life Racing and KMS to name but a few.
Quality
Quality is KEY!!!! An easy catchphrase for some, but for us that has been our motto for 30 years. We have been ISO approved since 1990 and held UL approval since 2010. Without quality we understand we do not have a business. You are only as good as your last delivery. All motorsport looms are tested on our Cirris CH2 HIPOT tester. This is essential for the customer. We have a dedicated test cell for this dept.
